I don't think I have this accent naturally, but have tried consciously to eradicate some of the Oklahoma from my speech. Like saying "pen" and "pin" differently, or replacing "pop" with "soda" or not saying "warsh" for "wash," which a lot of people around here do.

What American accent do you have?
Your Result: The Midland

"You have a Midland accent" is just another way of saying "you don't have an accent." You probably are from the Midland (Pennsylvania, southern Ohio, southern Indiana, southern Illinois, and Missouri) but then for all we know you could be from Florida or Charleston or one of those big southern cities like Atlanta or Dallas. You have a good voice for TV and radio.

Bob actually says "soda water." I had to ask him what that was!!!!

I do work hard on "pen"/"pin" and some others that escape me right now. My dad said "warsh" ugh

My grandfather (and I've heard other people of his generation say it) used to ask for "soda water" but by that he meant water with baking soda in it, which apparently one used as a sort of digestive aid. A lot of the time I just say "Coke" generically, but I have mostly weeded "pop" out of my language because I know it sounds funny to people not from around here.
