Nov. 22nd, 2005 06:32 pmBetween my many errands today, I managed to go to Saffron and have lunch with
mstami It was enlightening and fun, as usual. And the food was very good, plus they had a live singer covering pop/folk hits, which was cool. My only regret is that I didn't have dessert. They have great desserts, but I'd had a late breakfast and was really full. I hope we can go again soon and maybe take our knitting and such. They have couches where we could park ourselves with coffee and work on that.
Tonight I'm just home hanging out with the kids. Pretty soon I may go in and do some pre-cooking for Thanksgiving. Make the cornbread for the dressing and that sort of thing. And go through my cookbooks to see what kind of salad I want to make.

Date: 2005-11-28 11:27 pm (UTC)I had a bit of a date with Britt on Saturday and we popped into Saffron. We missed the live music, but enjoyed some Bruchette, Caramel Steamer (for me) and a Cappucino (for her). I really liked the place and think it would be nice to just go there and read with a Caramel Steamer standing by.
Does it seem goofy to want to take a friend to go read at a coffee house like that??
