I got cute new jeans today. I'm down 2 sizes over the last 2 months! Now I'm buying the size I wore in high school. Of course I was too fat in high school, but still, this is progress.

I'm trying to be realistic about the weight loss, but even so, I think I could be down another 2 sizes by spring if I stick with this eating and exercise plan, which would put me at a size I could be happy with. As it is, my blood pressure has been totally normal, my blood sugar has been normal, and my pulse has been running 60-65, which is very good, for me.

Thank you so much! I know we all put ourselves through the wringer needlessly about how we look, but I did have to lose some for my health. A few years ago, before I had Davey, my health and mood were really suffering because of my weight, and they're not now. Yay!

Go Lisa! I'm really proud of you. Have you read the book "No Fat Chicks"? It's really great and made me feel much better about myself by pointing out exactly how many people are prospering by making me feel bad about how I look.
Cosmetic companies, fitness centers, doctors - it was quite an eye opener. In fact, I even played a Camarilla character for awhile who was a rock-star/ fat activist. Her name was Jayne Doe - she even has a LJ (its under crowjayne) but it hasn't been updated in ages, and its very geeky.

weight loss for health is about the only reason I condone weightloss...call me freaky, I just think too many people forget that its not about whats on the outside:)

Low-carb, high-protein diet.

Whatever exercise I can get. Bicycling if it's warm enough and Roger will watch the kids. Exercise bike sometimes, taking stairs instead of elevators, dancing around like an idiot, walking, raking leaves. Mainly just getting up off my ass and doing SOEMTHING whenever I can instead of watching TV and/or eating.
