Dec. 13th, 2002 12:11 amSo, what's the protocol for adding someone to your lj friends list? Like if you don't actually know them, or they're a friend of a friend, but you think they have a good lj and would like to see it every day.
It seems presumptious of me to add someone as a "friend" when he has no idea who I am, but I've been reading his lj and webpage for months and really like his writing and sense of humor.

Date: 2002-12-14 03:19 pm (UTC)Just add 'im. That is how I had swtsbmsn on my friends list as well as Jacqui. I just found them through my interests search and then added them to my Friends list once I decided I was definitely interested in their LJs.
The real "etiquette" question then comes with do they have to add you to THEIR friends lists. No, they don't. Some feel obligated. It gets me when people as if they can add you to their list, though. Like you can stop them. :P
