lisamoeThe best comment I've yet seen about the various random government requirements being proposed before women can have a *legal* early-term abortion, from FARK's message boards...
"Why don't they just cut to the chase and instead of an ultrasound, require the woman to sit in a room for 5 days while old white men parade through and tell her she's a whore."
Despite the fact that the whole thing is just maddening, that made me LOL. I'm sure that'll be the next bill for not only abortions, but women seeking any kind of contraception.

Date: 2012-02-23 12:53 am (UTC)Mandatory DNA testing to determine the father. With the father when identified being liable for all prenatal care and for child support after birth. Even if the kid is given up for adoption.
With provisions making families liable if it was an underage male. And having the debt stay on the books (with interest) if the father can't be identified *then*. And then presented if his DNA gets into the system for something else.
Maybe having a lot of men facing those sorts of bills will change the minds of some [censored] politicians.
