Well, I've been using the Wii Fit almost every day since I got it. It's pretty fun. I've also eased back into lifting weights a little because there isn't enough strength training that I like on Wii Fit. I like their step aerobics and running and hulahooping though. I am the undisputed Wii Fit hulahooping champion at my house!

I'm still sticking with a pretty low carb diet. The pounds aren't just melting off, but I've lost a couple of pounds and my clothes are fitting a little better, so it's progress. Also, I have forgotten how just...not sick...I feel when I cut out a lot of carbs. I can't really describe it, but I just feel a little more energetic and healthier overall. This time I have tried to be really prepared and have a big variety of food options rather than try to eat the same few things until I get tired of them and eat a giant baked potato in disgust. I must confess that I ate a few breaded shrimp last night, but I think I was still well under 30 or 35 grams of carb for the day.

This last week or so, among other things, I have made pot roast, butternut squash soup, steak and mushrom soup, lacy cheese rounds, sauteed seasoned vegetables, garlic parmesan flaxseed crackers, broiled steaks, grilled tilapia, french toast with low-carb bread, chicken salad, etc. I actually feel like I'm eating pretty well and am not having much trouble avoiding desserts, although I'd still like some fries, lol. It's saving me money for sure, because even though low-carb is expensive to cook, it's a lot less expensive than eating out, which is what I was doing before.

Any time I hear someone who goes on a carb free diet "feel so much better", I wonder if they are gluten sensitive or even have celiac. As low-carb involves cutting out all, or most, of the breads in your diet; this results in a gluten-free diet. Glad to hear you are are feeling better, but this may be something you want to check into - and a simple blood test can let you know if you have celiac.
