I just got a call that Jesse got a part that he auditioned for last weekend. He'll be the Butcher in Jack and the Beanstalk at Clark Theatre. The performances aren't until May I think, and he doesn't have to start rehearsals until week after next, which is good because this is going to totally rearrange our schedules once again. I know his rehearsals are going to conflict with Dingo's soccer practices, but we'll work it out somehow.

I'm really glad he started going to Clark Theatre. I thought he might have a better shot at some of their plays than at Spotlight Theatre, which is weirdly cliquey. So far he's gotten a part in both things he's auditioned for at Clark, so yay! BACP was a nice theatre too and a really good experience as ar as being in the play, but the drive is so awful for us that it would have to be something pretty special before I would commit to getting him there again.

Anyway, yay for Jesse, he's very excited.

Yay! Congrats!! I know what you mean about the drive. When we did Spotlight, it about killed us with the late hours and the drive.

We're about 3 miles west of Spotlight, so it's the same sort of drive for us to BA. Spotlight would be so freaking convenient, but Jesse has tried out 3 times there without even a callback, and he has pretty much given up. Clark is not too far from R's house and it's a little bit of a drive from my house, but it's highway all the way and not nearly so far as BACP. Not that we WON'T drive to BACP, obviously, but it's not something I love, lol.
