Big Red Purse!
Dec. 25th, 2008 12:56 amThis is going to sound dreadfully materialistic of me, but lemme tell you, nothing restores your Xmas spirit like the unexpected gift of a huge red patent leather designer handbag. This is what I received from my SIL tonight (among other things) and it made me really happy. I love purses and bags and have quite a collection of fun but inexpensive ones, but this is the sort of thing that's too expensive to even look at in a store even though it's quite a pretty bag. And it's big. My laptop fits in it, which is useful.
The kids made out like bandits too. They both got fancy lightsabers, they got a r/c plane and Dingo got a Ben 10 PSP game and a Kevin Levin toy car. Jesse got some cake pans and a food processor. Yes, I know he's an 11 year-old boy, but he really loved that food processor. He just lit up and said "With this I can win that salsa making contest next year!" (He came in second last year.) R got clothes and things, I think. He was across the room when we were opening and then he left to take his other sister home so I didn't get a good look at what he got besides a nice jacket.
Ok, I have to get to bed. I assume the children will be up at 6 am as per Xmas tradition.
