Jesse (Playing Guitar Hero):   How does the singing in Rock Band work?

Me:  There's a microphone and you try to match the pitch of the singer on the screen.  You know, I think I saw Santa down at WalMart pricing Rock Band this year.  I suspect he might be thinking about getting you guys one.

Jesse:  Oh, I was just wondering.  All I really want for Christmas is a nice fondue set or a cake decorating kit...(his face lights up) I could make fancy highly-decorated cakes!

I can't recall the site link, but there's a site out there dedicated to wedding cake disasters. Sounds like he might enjoy looking at it if only for the "*I* can do better than that!" factor.

We went and saw it last year and I think he found it inspirational. To be honest though, his fine motor skills are a little shaky and I don't know that he'll ever be awesome at it, but we won't know til we try.

I have a friend whose 11/12 year old son... no, actually, I have TWO friends with 10-12 year old sons who asked for cake decorating sets alst year for Christmas. Must be something in the water:)

I love decorating cakes. I wish I could get paid for it!:)

My Grandma was very good at it and she used to make wedding and birthday cakes for people she knew. You might think about just doing that on an individual basis for your friends and friends of friends. I'd rather pay you than Merritt's, yanno?
