I went to work yesterday but was kind of tired and then today I woke up again with my lungs all bothersome, so I called in and made a doctor appointment for this afternoon. I need some labwork anyway so it won't be a wasted trip if there's nothing she can do about my lungs. Because I'm going to miss the gym due to not wanting to have another repeat of Monday's dizziness, I did some crunches and leg lifts at home and tonight I'll try to get in a few pushups. I don't like not making progress and I kind of feel like if I can do some mild exercise on a day like today, at least I won't be sliding backward, fitnesswise.

I put a casserole on in the slow cooker for tonight. It's beef and potatoes (but half the amount the recipe calls for), onion, green beans, garlic, spices and a can of celery soup. I hope it's good. I'm going to have to go to a meeting for work right after my doctor appointment, sick or not, and I'll be glad to come home to dinner already cooked, plus there should be plenty leftover for lunch the rest of the week.

I found out that I'm going to get to go to Chigaco for a couple of days for a conference in early April with my co-worker Michelle. That should be fun and it looks like a really good conference. I'm happy that they like me enough at work to pick me to be one of the two that get to go. Have I mentioned how much I like working there?

That recipe sounds good. Could you give me more specific recipe?

Its SO awesome you found such a great job! I'm so happy for you:) It stinks that you are still fighting off the lung-crap. I adore your icon. It makes me laugh:)

You and Angel, always wanting the specific recipes, lol. I don't really have specific recipes, but here's what I did.

Put a pound to a pound and a half of very lean uncooked ground beef in the bottom of the slowcooker. Layer on sliced potatoes, (I used 3, the original recipe said use 6 or so) a sliced onion, salt and pepper to taste, a teaspoon or so of minced garlic, some sprinkles of paprika and parsley (the original recipe called for thyme, but I don't like thyme), dump a can of green beans with water over that and spread a can of cream of something soup (I used c. of celery, the original said c. of mushroom) over it and cook it on low all day.

It was quite wonderful, btw. I yummed it up.
