Feb. 6th, 2008 09:19 pmToday my schedule just didn't work out to get to the gym. I was bummed until I remembered that at the park rec center where Dingo has his gymnastics classes on Wednesdays they have a weight room. I asked at the front desk and they said it was $2 a visit or $10 if you buy a punchcard of 10 visits, which seems extraordinarily reasonable, so I gave them 2 bucks and went in and spent 30 brisk minutes on a recumbent exercycle while Dingo finished up his class. I may do that every Wednesday, actually if I don't get to TU that day. Might as well not waste time just sitting around waiting for him when I could get a little extra workout in. The weight machines there are unfamiliar to me so I didn't try to get into those today but I'll try to figure them out when I get a chance. When I got home I did as many pushups as I could manage just to have gotten in some upper body exercise. Then I took a long hot bubble bath and plucked my eyebrows, so I'm feeling all good about myself tonight. If I could manage to get my old nail polish off and redo it, I'd be a regular movie star, lol.
Oh, and I was down a pound this morning from last time I weighed. I'm not weighing every day now because I can see the progress better over the course of a few days. I'm feeling good about the fitness situation, which is to say I'm not by ANY means fit by normal skinny girl standards, but for me, I'm doing really well.
