Dingo lost a front tooth yesterday. He looks adorable and hisses a little on his "s" sounds. I love it!

I weighed for the first time in a few days and I'm down just a little again. It looks like it's settling down to maybe a pound lost every couple of weeks. Better than gaining anyway, and I'm really enjoying my clothes being looser, even if it's a very slow process. If I kept going at this rate I'd be at my goal weight in a year. I'm still just trying to be very sensible about carbs without restricting them to the point where I feel horribly deprived and I'm trying to get exercise where I can, including going to the gym, but I'm not going overboard on any of it. That seems to be working so far.

I got called into my boss' office today, which made me nervous, but it turned out it was just to discuss my raise. I hadn't expected to get a raise this year since I haven't been here a whole year, but I'm getting one anyway, which is cool. It's not a huge raise, but it's nice that they like me well enough to consider giving me one at all, after only 7 months of working here. Have I mentioned that I love my job? I love my job.

As far as weight goes, in spite of all my working out, all I keep doing is gaining or staying steady, which is irritating the crap out of me. Well, actually, over the holidays I got really lazy and ate like a pig, so I guess I'm not really surprised. I'm getting back into the game, but then I have a hard time eating ENOUGH because the low carb thing kills my appetite. wahhhh, I know.

I love it when they lose that front tooth! My beanie was the first of my kids to actually lose both of her top front teeth together (or close enough) I love it:)

I so know the super low-carb works, but I also can't do it for more than a few months and I've had to find something that will work for longer than that. Having fallen off the low-carb wagon several times after periods of success, I've figured out that I just don't have the will power to stick to it so strictly, so like today, I had tacos for lunch, but no rice and chips and stuff. For dinner I had bacon and eggs, but also a piece of homemade whole grain bread. And if I mess up and eat a piece of candy or a few fries I just go on and try to do better at the next meal. And I've completely and utterly cut out sugary drinks, which is probably the biggest thing that's helping.

I sure miss the fast results of the low-carb though!

Speaking of your work, I finally got around to calling the lady that you referred me to referencing M. She was really nice and knowledgeable about everything and she put me on the mailing list to receive information about meetings, etc...

Thanks for hooking a girl up! :D
