Wednesday Night Karaoke! No cover charge!

It's karaoke night at Chateau Lisamoe! Pretty dreadful stuff, let me tell you, but mucho fun. The kids don't know the tunes to most anything on this 60 song party mix I bought and Dingo can't even read the lyrics so it's what we might call a little sketchy on accuracy of the performances. Jesse at least knew Love Shack and Jailhouse Rock. Dingo doesn't know anything, so he's totally making up lyrics. And dances. Which all have "booty shaking" in them.

I gave Hit Me With Your Best Shot my best shot, which was pretty humorous even if I am theoretically familiar with it.

All his songs seem to include the word "poop" somewhere in them. I'd get him counseling, but I don't want him to say "poop" to some nice therapist. ;-)

Perhaps your boys would prefer a karaoke CD with children's songs or Disney songs?

What they actually want is a Hairspray CD. If they made They Might be Giants karaoke, they'd want that too, but I'm guessing that such is not available.

But anyway, we just got the machine for Xmas and haven't gotten out to get good CDs for it yet, so we're working with what we have. I told them that we could go out this weekend and get more CDs.

I rarely find any good karaoke CDs in my town, so I always order online.

Thanks for letting me know about the TMBG. That surprises me. The Hairspray I'm pretty sure I can get here in town, but we just haven't gotten out to do it yet.

I woke up this morning to Jesse singing "All My Ex's Live in Texas." It brought tears to my eyes, but mostly in a trying not to laugh at my child kind of way. :-)
