I bought jeans.

This summer I cut up my two best pairs of jeans into shorts because they were both getting pretty ragged and I didn't have any shorts. I have another pair of jeans left, but they're a little tight plus they have these funky decorative pockets that I don't think look that good for the office, even on casual day. So today I bought some decent jeans I found on sale at Penney's while I was at the mall waiting to meet R and the kids to go to a movie. I didn't even try them on because they looked like they'd fit, and thankfully they did, because I sincerely hate returning stuff. Anyway, getting a new pair of jeans is kind of an event for me, as you can see from the fact that I only owned three pairs to begin with and two of those were so old they were geting holes. (Well, I also have a pair of paint splattered carpenter jeans I use for working on the house or in the yard, but I don't think those count and they're also like 5 or 6 years old.) So anyway, go me. I have decent looking jeans that fit. Feel free to ask me to go out to some casual dress event. I am prepared!

I'll just wear a skirt and then I don't even have to take it off. ;-)

They are marginally loose, but I don't mind that. I can wear a belt and then if I really pig out or on my bloaty days they won't hurt my stomach. :-)
