Gourd

When I came into the office this morning, this was on the receptionist's desk. It has caused much juvenile snickering amongst the less mature of my co-workers. Personally, I went in and told my boss I felt sexually harrassed and that we should have a policy against future gourds of this nature.

It turns out that one of the older ladies grew it and brought it in just to show us how big it was, but did not quite realize the particular shape of the gourd might cause untoward comment.

Hahahaha! No, but one of my co-workers wants to take it home for the weekend. We told her if she takes it home, don't bring it back.

My wife belonged to the local art guild, a large group of significantly older ladies (here's a hint, it's lost most of its membership to various "red hat" clubs). There is a restaurant near us with the name "The Bearded Clam." She asked the ladies at the art guild if they knew what a "bearded clam" was. None did.
