Porter Peaches

lisamoeWe went out to Porter today to buy fresh peaches. We bought 1/2 bushel of Red Haven and 1/2 bushel of Bellaire, which is my favorite peach. For those of you not around farm country, that's a LOT of peaches. It cost $50 for the whole bushel, but we'll freeze what we don't use now and we'll have peaches all year. Mom and I ate two on the way home and they tasted like concentrated summer. We also got a quart of blackberries just because and they look beautiful though I haven't eaten any yet.
