What's next? Canned soup!?!

Jesse, last week, asked me if I'd ever heard of this thing called "Hamburger Helper." Because he'd just heard of it and the commercial said it was really easy to make in one pan and he wondered if he could try some. I laughed my ass off. This is the kid who has steadfastly refused anything casserole-like, including Hamburger Helper, his whole little life. Usually he's begging for crab legs, sushi and ribeyes, lol, but in any case he has always hated a) food mixed together and b) anything not luxurious. But his "new taste sensation" (which I swear are the actual words that came out of his mouth) is plain beef pasta Hamburger Helper. We had it tonight. We've had it three times the last week or so.

Frankly I'm loving making him something easy and cheap, because this is the first thing EVER that's been easy or cheap about Jesse, lol.

I'm off work til next week, so I have no schedule, lol. You say when. As to where, over by your work somewhere is fine if that's easier for you. I liked Carinos when we went before. There's a Delta Cafe just up the way and I like their lunch specials. Mexican would be fine. Anythign, really, but I don't really want Bogeys again. I go to be sociable with jorje because she likes it, but I'm not crazy about their burgers.

hamburger helper is good. my GF and I have it all the time, though we always either make it too soggy or too dry. haha, it is cheap though. perfect for anyone on a budget aka me and her ALL THE TIME, haha.

I like to cook and I've been grilling a lot of our meals, but sometimes it's great to just stick one pan on to simmer and not worry about it.

We've recently re-discovered Hamburger Helper. :)
Rick told me it was one of his favorite foods from childhood & now we have it about every other week!

Oh, btw - the Philly Cheesesteak one is deeeeelicious!

We'll have to try it. I'm easing him in to the whole Hamburger Helper experience with the simplest flavor first. It's weird that he'll happily eat any kind of sushi or seafood you stick in front of him. Things with tentacles and eyes, he doesn't care, but the more exotic flavors of Hamburger Helper are kind of an iffy proposition.
