Apr. 3rd, 2007 01:58 pmI just spent $8 to airmail $6 worth of colored pencils to Africa. Which involved convincing the postal clerk that in fact Mali is an actual country. Fortunately the post office computer knew I hadn't made it up, even if the clerk himself had his suspicions that I was just a little late with the April Fool's joking. In my little working class neighborhood, apparently they don't get a lot of international mail going out.
In two days I'm off to San Antonio for Six Flags, Sea World, the Alamo and general sightseeing. The kids are looking forward to flying again, almost more than going to the theme parks themselves, and Jesse has spent the morning looking up ground transportation for us, which he loves doing. He's really a big help with travel plans. Dingo, not so much with the planning, but he can charm flight attendants into giving us extra peanuts and cokes, so I guess we'll keep letting him come along on vacation. ;-)
