Attack of the 40 foot coconut.

Eep. Today Jesse handed me a sample of Macadamia crusted Mahi Mahi he picked up at the store where we were shopping and said try it, so I did and it tasted a little disconcerting, but there were several flavors in the breading, so I didn't identify what it was until I went and found the stuff and looked at the package. It has coconut in it, which is only a problem if you're allergic to coconut, as I am. My stomach is already roiling and I'm getting kind of flushed. Eep, as I say. It was just a little coconut, but the last time I had that much coconut I ended up throwing up all night.

In good news, however, I did manage to get Dingo's birthday party booked today. It's next week and I had done absolutely nothing about reserving anyplace or sending out invites or anything. I'm usually a little more on top of things than that, it's just been a busy month. After I get paid tomorrow I've got to get out and get his presents. He wants a Spiderman bike and helmet. He has a bike already, but he's going to outgrow it soon. I hope at least a few people can come to his party on this late notice, but I'm sure he'll have a good time in any case.

I'm shocked! I'm the only person I've ever heard of allergic to coconut... it's good to know I'm not alone. As long as I learn pretty quickly that I've eaten it, (I figure it out soon even if not told, the swelling throat does it.) taking Benedryl usually seems to help.
