lisamoeI am dyeing Jesse's hair blue right now. I've peroxided it and now we're waiting for that to work before we put the blue on. He's been begging for 6 months about this and I finally told him I'd talk to his Dad and see if he would ok it before we go to Disneyworld, which he did. You know, one thing I always said I wouldn't fight with my kids over was their hair. Hair grows back. It's not like getting a tattoo or something, you know? It's not worth it to me to make it a big issue. And we homeschool, so I don't have to deal with some asinine school rule that if my child deviates from the norm in any way it wrecks the learning atmosphere for everyone. I don't think that prepares anyone for the real world.
Anyhow, I think he's going to look cute and unusual. He has the same nondescript, coarse, dark brown hair that I have and I've been dyeing mine a variety of colors for years, so I have a lot of sympathy. I'll see if I can't get a picture when it's done.
