Nov. 18th, 2002 02:28 pmI got to ride my bike at lunch today. I don't know how far I went, because I wasn't paying attention. It was enough that I sweated a little, even in the cool weather, but my legs weren't very tired. Anyhow, any exercise is better than none at all and it helped with my cramps, so it was time well spent.
I'm alternately heartened and discouraged by my progress toward fitness. I'm down 21 pounds from where I started, which is good, but I have at least that much more to go and since I've never really been able to lose weight well before, I keep thinking this is just a fluke and I won't be able to lose the rest.
Plus, although my scales and my clothes say different, I still look just the same to myself in the mirror. And I'm not sure, after having two kids, if my stomach will ever look reasonable again, no matter how much I lose. Blah.
