Tearing my hair out trying to find the right handheld GPS to get for Jack. It has to have preloaded maps, but I don't actually know how much memory one needs or what the different grids are and if we need those. Still looking. Fortunately I AM competent to pick a popcorn popper, which is the other thing I'm trying to order today.

I finally decided and ordered the Garmin eTrex Legend. It's a little short on memory compared to some, but I'm not sure that that will be a big consideration for Jack as long as he has basic highway maps. It has the features that seem like they'll appeal to him, and it's apparently very easy for left-handers to use.

I found the popcorn popper I want too but am just looking for the best price on it and on shipping.
