Today following some electrician related bustling around, Mom and I packed the kids up and took them down to the Williams Theatre at the PAC to see the Festival Ringers handbell chorus. It was very cool (and free!) and I was extremely impressed at how professional and polished they were. I think Carol of the Bells sounds really great on bells, lol. Then we drove down to Sapulpa to take some magazines and books to the used bookstore we use and to pick up some new books and homeschooling material. The guy at the bookstore recommended a diner in Sapulpa when we were talking about getting a bite to eat, so we headed down there and got good food and a very friendly waitress. Off to Walmart after that to get some baking supplies and staples just in case we get snowed in this week (or it's just too cold and nasty for us to want to go out.) We're going to make brownies and muffins and cookies to pass the time. The oven helps keep the kitchen warm anyway, as it's the least heated room of the house.

Tomorrow, presuming no catastrophic snowfall, [livejournal.com profile] mstami and I are going to see Pride and Prejudice. I'm looking forward to that.

I'm looking forward to the movie too. I hope it's as good as the BBC production. However, I'm now thinking of baked goods. Brownies, muffins, and cookies oh my. :)

We're going at 2:20. Can you take a snow day? Or *cough* fake pneumonia?

honestly...don't you EVER keep up with trends??? bird flu is the hot new call-in illness of the season. i fondly remember the days there was that ground hog problem in the area a few years back. they carry monkey pox. it was in the news. it was SOOOOOO hip and cosmo to call in and say "the damned ground hogs and their monkey pox!! now i've gone and contracted it. i won't be in today...." suddenly...those west nile virus days of summer seem so...mundane.

next time...just to throw Them off, i'm calling in with a light case of the Ebola Virus. "don't you people EVER disinfect your damn phones???"

Hey - I added you as a friend - so if you want to read all about my exciting life (ok, truthfully - really boring life) - add me back! I would like to get to know you a bit better as we had fun chatting at the last party and we seem to have a lot in common.
