Last night the boys and I had to run some errands and along the way something good happened, I can't remember what, but I do remember that I said as an exclamation, "Dude!" To which Jack replied "Dude indeed." What kind of 8 year-old says "indeed." Oh, mine, that's right. :-)

My freshly turned 9 year old daughter will use the word "swanky" every now and then, as in, "wow, that's swanky."

Tyler's friend in Brownie's said "Why are you always criticizing us like that?" yesterday as we mothers were telling them not to run on the sidewalk (seeing as how Tyler is still healing from the fall on same sidewalk two weeks ago).

It seems they all find some word to pull out of their ass that surprises us. heh

Does he say "As a matter of fact...." Trip likes to say that. One time he said, "Mama, we are all susceptible to the common cold." I think he was 5 at the time.
