Oct. 17th, 2005 08:14 pmMom and I took the kids to get Halloween costumes tonight. Jack is going to be Harry Potter and Davey is going to be a slice of Pizza. So there it is. We did a lot of other shopping and it was very tiring but I did end up getting a Tippin's lemon pie, which they sell at Reasor's now, so that's good. I also got Jack some Brain Quest cards for fourth grade (he's in third grade) and he knows nearly everything in them. The math is just trivial to him. He's lacking some of the cultural references though, some of the fairy tales, fables and that sort of thing. I guess that's my fault. We'll work on it. It's fun for the car and he likes knowing the answers. I was very surprised that he was doing so well with the parts of speech. We had just talked about them last week while learning to do Mad Libs and I didn't think it sank in that well, but apparently it did. I guess we'll hit the fifth grade cards after we get through these.
