So my kids now have pen pals in Ecuador through Campfire. Javier and Diego are their names. Of course Davey can't write yet, but I guess he can tell us what he wants to say and we can write it down. I'm excited about this. One of the women from the Campfire office is teaching in Ecuador this year and so we have been having study units on it and she sends us information and is now setting this up. Very cool.

I think that's great! And I have always had my children dictate letters and stories to me before they could write. I think it helps them to organize their ideas so that writing is easier for them later on.

That is so neat. I tried to get my daughter into that kind of thing, but she wasn't interested.
