Let it never be said that I am not a dedicated Mama. So yesterday the kids and I went to Walmart for groceries. Jack spotted a package in the seafood department innocuously labeled "seafood combo." Said seafood combo was actually tiny octopuses, calamari strips, mussels, cuttlefish, crab, shrimp and perhaps other things. It was pretty gross, but he loves seafood and really wanted to try octopus so I bought it. We wake up this morning and he is just desperate to have this stuff for breakfast, so I, despite my late night out and roiling stomach, saute this mess for him in butter and seafood seasoning. I suppose it would smell good actually, if I were in the mood for it, but it looks revolting. Anyway, he is happily having it right now. Davey took one look and opted for cheese and crackers and I can't say that I blame him. I had cocoa krispies myself.

ugh... sounds disgusting. :P What a good mom you are for doing that for Jack!

(You really should've put this behind an lj-cut with a warning for those of us with a weak stomache not to view. ;)

Oh wow! The only way I like octopus is on sushi. I do not think I could make seafood, though.
