Thank you! I borrowed all 3 of them though. It's a fast read. I only got it this afternoon and am more than halfway through.

Fast read? Really?? Well, of course when I read them I waited until about 3 am, read really slowly through the good parts, got out the toys with batteries and....erm...am I saying this out loud?! Nevermind. Good books.

Heh. I can read pretty fast, if you know what I mean. And I think you do.

I hated those books.
My favorite erotic book is The Torture Garden by Mirbeau. The juxtoposition of horror, beauty and sex and violence is a real turn on. I think I like old-school erotica more than the modern stuff. I really do think that S&M was more fun when it was forbidden.

I'll look for The Torture Garden. Older erotica is hard to find in Tulsa and I don't have the money to order things from anywhere right now.

The Sleeping Beauty books (I'm halfway through the last one now) are silly beyond reason, but some of the scenes are pretty hot to me. The problem is that once you've read the hot stuff, they're pretty repetitive. The first anal rape is interesting. The 75th more or less identical one is kind of boring. And they're laughably unrealistic, but I suppose they're supposed to be a fairy tale of sorts and taken for that, you can suspend disbelief.

Still, they're a very fast read and I'm generally enjoying them, since I wasn't expecting too much. Do you like Anne Rice's other writing? It seems to me that you gave me Interview with the Vampire a long time ago and that's the only other Anne Rice I've read.
