I overslept today and didn't wake up til 7:50. Unheard of. I rarely sleep past 7:00, even on weekends, so it was a real treat to get extra sleep.

I was going to try to get some work caught up today, but R called and asked if I would go with him to pick out something for his Dad to wear to the funeral and to meet with his Mom's pastor, so I suppose I'm doing that. Plus Jack is in a talent show in the afternoon. I really need to work in some actual work around that though. I feel utterly selfish wishing this hadn't come right at my busy time of the month at work, but I do. Nothing I can do about it though.

Thank you so much mstami (and girlchild) for the offers of help, the huge casserole and the adorable heart cookies. The boys will be all over those. And thank you alyxavia and mrspolliard and tapestry01 for the offers of help. And jorjedatoy for the book recommendation. Hopefully this will be largely over tomorrow, except for the sadness. Maybe on the weekend some of us could get together for coffee or food or something and I could relax with friends. Even though we get along fine, being thrown in this kind of constant contact with R's family has been taxing.

EDIT: Oh! And thank you SO much mamaduck for helping so much extra with the kids. And thank you also to someone else who knows who he is. You've been a rock this week and I would not be getting through it without your understanding and help and steadiness. I'll make this week up to you soon; I know I haven't been easy to deal with.
