Today S and I went to Bartlesville to Price Tower. We took a tour of the tower that included the top floors which used to be the private offices and apartments; that was very neat as we've been there before but only up to the second floor which is mostly gallery space. We also ate lunch today at Copper, the restaurant on the 15th/16th floor of the tower. The waitress was very nice and gave us a free dessert for no particular reason. For those not from around these parts, the Price Tower is Frank Lloyd Wright's tallest building, built for the Price Company in the 1950s. It was office and retail space for a while, then bought by Phillips, largely abandoned and near to being razed, and then Phillips turned it over to an arts foundation which has done a lot of restoration. It's pretty cool inside, you'd just have to see it to appreciate it.

Yesterday on our way to the homeschool meeting, Jack and I stopped at Nam Hai Asian market and picked up a variety of things, but one of them was Panko, so tonight I made Panko chicken and some Thai Peanut noodles. The noodles were from a mix and were ok but not anything to write home about, but the Panko Chicken was really really tasty. If you've never used Panko for frying, you shouild try it. I dredge the meat in flour, then in egg/water/salt mixture, then in Panko and then straight into a cast iron pan with about a half inch of oil. Yum.
