Jun. 23rd, 2011 10:40 pmI seem to be down about 10 lbs over the last several months. I posted in April that I was about 172, down from over 180, but now I'm at 170. 7 more pounds and I'll be at my lowest adult weight as far as I can remember. I haven't been trying actively to lose weight aside from adding more fruits and vegetables into my diet, so either something's wrong, or I'm doing something right, but whatever it is I'll just try to be grateful. I don't think I look any different, but my size 16 jeans are a little looser and my face is a tiny bit thinner. I still have that classic "apple" shape that is so unappealing, but it's a slightly smaller apple at least! I don't think I'll ever have a really good figure, it's just the weird way I'm shaped, but I could be healthier and that's what I'm going for right now.
I read some good research today that said (and I've seen this other places, just not all in the same article) that cutting out potatoes and increasing yogurt and nuts will result in weight loss so that's my next step. I eat nuts and yogurt now, but I'll make a better effort and I'm going to try to cut my potato consumption by half, which is hard because I love potatoes, but I'm going to try to make them a treat rather than a staple. Not much of a diet, but along with the daily fruit I've been trying to add, it's something realistic I can do that won't be a lot of counting and measuring and fuss. Even another few pounds lost would be very welcome. I've still got my eye on that size 14!
