Well, I've been feeling fat and gross, as usual, but when I weighed myself this morning, I was at 172#. Yes, if you're skinny, I'm sure that's horrifying, but I've been hovering at a little above 180# late last year and early this year. I think the weight loss is due to the side effect of a medication I've been taking for a few months, but whatever it is, I'll take it. I normally wear a size 16 in jeans (down from a 20 several years ago!) but I've noticed in the last few weeks that my 16s are slipping off my waist just a little, so I tried on 2 pairs of 14s that a friend brought to work this week and they actually fasten. They're tight enough that I don't think they'd be comfy, so I'm still wearing my 16s, but I don't think I've been able to button a pair of size 14 jeans in years. That's good news. I've been back in size L t-shirts instead of XL for the most part for a while, so I guess just because I *feel* fatter doesn't actually mean I am.

Maybe if I'm diligent about this medication and get a little more exercise I might actually be wearing 14s before the year is out. Once again, you skinny girls can laugh, but for me that would be a huge huge victory.

Since I am currently hovering around your high weight, I totally appreciate how awesome getting into a size 14 is. Wow!

I think it's fabulous!
And to hell with anyone who thinks we all oughta look the same!

They don't have your brains, your sass or your awesome kids, so PPhhhbbbttt to 'em !

You weigh less than I do...I'm around 190 (I think). I'm scared to get on a scale, and my self loathing is at an epic level. Sometimes the only thing that helps is looking at the Fatshionista flick'r pool which is full of photos of women shaped like me. It is reassuring to know that it is possible to be both fat and attractive...even when I'm feeling like a walrus.

You are girl shaped and most of your weight is in your fantastic boobs. Also, I'm just weird about ME. I see lots of other less-than slender women who I think are super cute, into which category you fall. Heck, I think I could be happy at this weight if it weren't ALL in my stomach.

Whoo Hoo!!! That's AWESOME!! *I'm never sure if I'm one of the people you consider "one of those skinny people" or not, but when I was at that same weight last year (174) you told me I looked awesome as it was... so you're at a great number:) And I was wearing size 13, too.

Ok, even when you're at a high weight for you, it's still all freaking muscle! I'm not in those size 14s yet, but I have hope.

Well, I'll just shut the hell up then (although next time I see you, I'm taking off my clothes and making you see and squeeze the padding on the muscle, so THERE!).

At least you know I have my own issues, and some of them I deal with by obsessing about my physical appearance because that seems to be the only damned thing I can actually control.

I am not going to tell you my weight, mainly because I am so unhappy with it. My hormones are completely screwed up and I look very unattractive because of it. So I think that beauty is all about being healthy now. And I am as ugly as can be.
