Jesse for President?

There's a girl down at the kids' theatre who graduated last year. She's a great actress, great at improv, always got the leads, always had an elected office on the youth council there, that sort of kid. Now she's helping out around the theatre and stage managing A Midsummer Night's Dream, which is Jesse's next show. Her mom, who has been involved with the theatre since before her daughter was Jesse's age, was there today while we were striking the set for Peter Pan and she took me aside and told me that she thought Jesse was the kind of kid who was going to be a leader like that, that she could already see it even though he's one of the younger kids who's involved with the youth council. It felt really good for someone else to see that in him and say so to me. I think so too, but you know you're always biased about your own kid. In both sessions of camp he went to last year, he won the Leadership award for that session though, so I guess it's not just me.

That kid makes me proud for something or another every single day.

Thanks, but I really think it's just him. With Jesse I've always felt like he was just born this way and all we've done is stand back and not hinder him, lol.
