I'd update about my life, but I have no life, lol. So I'll update about the kids, because that pretty much IS my life currently, not that there's anything wrong with that.
Jesse is doing an amazing job in three very different roles in three seperate plays right now, all part of The Emergence Project. Seriously, he has really upped his game, acting-wise, and I could not be prouder. It's not just me either, everyone who's seen him has said how amazed they are at how far he's come and how good he's gotten and all the people who have worked with him have said he's been so professional and dependable and easy to work with. I am just full to overflowing with happiness about that.
Dingo is doing nicely too, singing along in the chorus of one play and doing a little slapstick in it. He's only onstage for maybe 10 minutes but is really enjoying it and is really cute. I wish he had more opportunity to act in small roles where he doesn't have to memorize too much right off. He isn't dedicated like Jesse, being only 9, but he likes being on stage and it would be good if they could do some of the same activities, at least when it's not soccer season.
Other than that, soccer and all the homeschool classes and CampFire are over for this season. And we have to decide what to do about soccer next season, which is going to take some time. As for me, well, I have no life beyond taking the kids to rehearsals and shows and games but I am actually enjoying it. Watching my children grow and succeed and make friends is maybe the most fulfilling thing I've ever experienced. So anyway, I think Jesse has a chorus role in a play that starts rehearsing Monday so we'll be doing that for a while, but it won't be as intense as this play has been. Hopefully it'll be fun though.
We have a short vacation next week and then the kids start daycamps for the summer, Harry Potter camp and Soccer camp for Dingo and Theater Camp for Jesse. Hmmm, there should be a Mom Daycamp, only instead of a daycamp, it would be a spa and instead of canoeing there would be pedicures and instead of crafts, you'd get naps...

Date: 2010-06-06 01:53 pm (UTC)I must say, I still desire social interaction, but most times I'd choose to stay home with Sasha than get out and about.

Date: 2010-06-07 04:45 am (UTC)That said, I'm not crazy about every kind of children's activity. Campfire is ok, but I could take it or leave it. What I really like is things where they get to shine and I get to watch them. :-)
