Writer's Block: If these walls could talk

Hell yeah! Where do I sign up? I do not believe in haunted houses. I'd probably want the carpet to have a good shampooing before I moved in though, if it was a really messy murder.
On that note, I heard a guy on NPR the other day talking about how he lives in Jeffrey Dahmer's childhood home, where he committed his first murder. This guy found the house of his dreams, really cheap, and then they told him what the house was. He bought it anyway, which just seems sensible to me. I think if you're superstitious or squeamish maybe it wouldn't work out, but I'm pretty sure I'd be okie dokie with it. ANd hey, if the neighbors thought it was haunted, they probably wouldn't be coming by to hang out or borrow stuff, so bonus!

Date: 2009-11-12 09:29 pm (UTC)I also rented a house where an elderly couple that had been married 57 years had lived and died. It was haunted, and I loved it. We talked to them, but I think it was only haunted by the husband. He used to turn the stereo on to waltz music while we were gone, we'd come home to find it playing at almost top volume.
