So I've managed to get Dingo onto a good soccer team this year with the coach he had the last two seasons. The coach had moved to a nearby suburb and was coaching there and when I called him to ask for suggestions about a new team for Dingo, he asked if Dingo could come play for him. It's a little bit of a drive for us, but I have run Jesse to acting classes and plays all over the area for years on end and it's not fair to do that for him if I won't drive Dingo 10 miles to be on a good soccer team.

The league he is in now is part of Green Country Soccer association, the same league I played with as a child, and they play teams from all over the area. There's a championship at the end of the season too, which Dingo is excited about. The last three seasons he has played through the parks department and it's non-competitive and doesn't keep standings, which was good then while he was learning, but he seems excited about the thought of actually trying to earn a trophy this season.

Unfortunately, the two practices and one game per week add to an already pretty full schedule for the next 10 weeks (plus playoffs if they get there) and though I love watching him play, I will be a little relieved when the season is over.
