Let the Right One In

lisamoeTonight I saw Let The Right One In at the Circle Cinema for free with R and a couple of buddies. Now I know the subtitled Swedish child vampire love story is an overdone genre, but really, this one stands out from the sea of subtitled Swedish child vampire love stories. It was very quiet, a little haunting, visually striking and the child leads were very good. It was a little bloody in spots and shocking in others and I would recommend that you go see it if you don't mind a little dripping blood in your coming-of-age story. Despite the fact that it's about 12 year olds, I wouldn't recommend taking a 12 year old to see it. I left the kids home and was ever so glad I did.
