Obama rally.

Last night at his request, I drove Jesse to Springfield MO to the Obama rally. We drove 3 hours up, waited in a mile long line for 3 more hours and had to stand for another couple of hours and didn't get home til 4 am. It was totally worth it to just be a part of the excitement, btw. They estimated the crowd there at 30,000-40,000 people and I totally believe it. We were a mile back in line and there was a lot of line behind us. I hope it's something Jesse remembers for a long time. I can honestly say I've never been at such a large or energetic event in my life that I can recall.

Wow you went! That's cool. I'm sure Jesse will remember and be positively effected by this even as an adult.

I am excited that he is excited about it. He has done a lot of looking at the issues and trying to decide what he thinks about them and I think that's really commendable for an 11 year-old.

(And my not-good days!)Honestly, I was not excited about this trip before we went and wasn't just dying to see this rally in person, but once we got on the road, I realized how pleasant it was to spend some time just with Jesse and it was a real treat once we got there, to see him so excited about something.
