I'm still cooking at home a lot, just to not waste the gas to get out to a restaurant. This means of course, that we're eating like kings, since I am a pretty good cook IMHO and I love to make food. I just put a baby portabello mushroom, green onion and swiss quiche with tender flaky homemade crust in the oven for me and Mom and I can't wait until it's done because it smells fabulous! Tomorrow I think I'm going to crockpot some 15 bean soup mix with chunks of ham, bacon and seasoning that I got from an Italian market in Krebs. Then Tuesday night I'm making open face roast beef sandwiches with some tasty shaved roast beef from NaturalFarms along with green beans and mashed potatoes. Doesn't that all sound better than driving through McDonalds? Jesse says he is making us a cake tomorrow too. And yesterday he made up an Italian salad much like they have at Olive Garden which I still have some of. Wednesday he's entering his (hmoe-grown) tomato and garlic salsa recipe in a salsa contest and I am hopeful that he'll make enough for me to keep some because it's really good.

Clearly, pretty soon we're not going to be able to fit out through the door, but we will be happy in our couch-bound food-induced stupor.

Cool! I actually miss cooking. I still cook once or twice a week but I don't cook everyday anymore.

You're a terrific cook so I know everyone at your house is feeling really lucky these days. :)
