I am a d20

Take the quiz at dicepool.com

You are the large, round, friendly d20! (You probably didn't know this, but the shape of the twenty-sided die is called an Icosahedron.) You are the friendly, outgoing, outspoken, leader of friends. You are often looked up to, even though you don't normally deserve it. Most other types secretly wish they were you, and you'd give them tips on how, if only you had a clue yourself. Your charisma is often all you need, but you have your occasional moments of brilliance as well--just never when it's actually needed. You are the all-around good guy, a dependable chum, a respectable foe, and an inspiration to those who need one. Who says you can't get by on a smile and good looks alone?

I like noise within reason and have mixed feeling about crowds, but maybe the rest of it is kind of accurate. I frequently act like such a ditz that no one thinks I'm thoughtful and intellectual, but I probably am.

I did this about a year ago, but it's changed a little. I know who the majority of these people are from seeing them commenting on my friends journals. A few of them are ones I've unfriended at some point, and a few are ones who've unfriended me.

I tried out TrustFlow II for LiveJournal. The following people not on the friends list for [livejournal.com profile] lisamoeare close by:

I thought this was an interesting link.  You can see who has someone friended even if they have their "friend of" hidden on their userinfo page. I have apparently have 4 people whose journals I read who don't read mine, and theoretically I have 12 people who read mine but I don't read theirs. In actual fact out of that 12, most are abandoned journals that I had friended at one time and would friend again if they became active, a couple are people that I was friends with but am not so close now, one is someone who added me out to the blue and I have no idea why, and one is someone I had friended, but who posted some things in their journal (a while back) that I felt I just could not have on my friends page and was uncomfortable reading.

You are The Moon

Hope, expectation, Bright promises.

The Moon is a card of magic and mystery - when prominent you know that nothing is as it seems, particularly when it concerns relationships. All logic is thrown out the window.

The Moon is all about visions and illusions, madness, genius and poetry. This is a card that has to do with sleep, and so with both dreams and nightmares. It is a scary card in that it warns that there might be hidden enemies, tricks and falsehoods. But it should also be remembered that this is a card of great creativity, of powerful magic, primal feelings and intuition. You may be going through a time of emotional and mental trial; if you have any past mental problems, you must be vigilant in taking your medication but avoid drugs or alcohol, as abuse of either will cause them irreparable damage. This time however, can also result in great creativity, psychic powers, visions and insight. You can and should trust your intuition.

Results from an intelligence quiz at www.similarminds.com I actually just went looking for a good MBTI and/or Enneagram test to recommend to a friend, but stopped to take this along the way. They have lots of good tests there.

So this meme's been going around. I won't tag anyone cause I never do, but here's the deal. Go to http://www.quotationspage.com/random.php3 and look through the random quotations and find five that speak to you and post them in your journal. I'd really like to expound on some of these and why they resonate with me right at this time, but I guess I'll just let them speak for themselves.

There is no reciprocity. Men love women, women love children, children love hamsters.
--Alice Thomas Ellis

There's a whiff of the lynch mob or the lemming migration about any overlarge concentration of like-thinking individuals, no matter how virtuous their cause.
--P. J. O'Rourke

Say what you will about the Ten Commandments, you must always come back to the pleasant fact that there are only ten of them.
--H. L. Mencken (1880 - 1956)

Children might or might not be a blessing, but to create them and then fail them was surely damnation.
--Lois McMaster Bujold, "Barrayar", 1991

I appreciate people who are civil, whether they mean it or not. I think: Be civil. Do not cherish your opinion over my feelings. There's a vanity to candor that isn't really worth it. Be kind.

R called this morning and our blue kitty we've had 13 years since she was a tiny climby clawey thing was very sick today. She's been slowly getting thinner as she gets older but the last two days has apparently not been eating at all and she was all weak and ill looking today. Mom and I picked her up and took her to R's vet and they are keeping her for the weekend for IVs and antibiotics and tests. She may just have an infection or it may be organ failure. We'll probably know soon. She was such a sad kitty today but I am hopeful. Even as weak as she was she tried to stick her claws in the vet, so she still feels a little like herself.

Jesse is in a couple of selections from Annie tonight at 6:00 at the Broken Arrow Community Playhouse. If anyone's out that way, feel free to come by and see the show. It's...well...you can't buy entertainment like this, that's all I have to say.

I spent some time last night and this afternoon on this:

I escaped from the Dungeon of Lisamoe!

I killed Kinkedriotfemme the nymph.

I looted the Sceptre of Neandernerd, the Amulet of Logic Problems and 3 gold pieces.

Score: 53

I got a really good score once and looted lots of stuff but I was on my Treo and cutting and pasting my results would have "exceeded clipboard limit" so I'm just posting this sucky score. You can try my dungeon or your own or I guess anyone else who has an lj name. It's a cute little surreal take on those old text-adventure games. I particularly liked You are walking through a flooded corridor. Bones are scattered in the shape of jane austen and You find yourself in a candlelit oubliette. You hear the sound of attachment parenting in the distance

My friend Bucky recently posted a list of all the jobs he's had. It was interesting and I've had a varied job history myself so I thought I'd do the same. This doesn't count any unoffical jobs where I just worked for a friend or did volunteer work or convention planning or such, though many of those were pretty time consuming. And the job coaching I did had me working at a lot of different places, so though I was employed by an agency I worked at various job sites, which I listed seperately. Hopefully I haven't forgotten anything.

Yay! All that foreign language I took in high school and college (and there was a lot of it!) has paid off! Or I'm a good guesser, which is more likely, as none of the languages I took was Latin.

I know Latin! )
