Girly bath stuff.

lisamoeI have started to come down with Jesse's flu (He's getting better, btw) so have just gotten out of a tub with half a "cold and flu relief" bubble cake from Bath Cake Boutique, which felt really nice and cleared my head for the first time today. If you're prone to respiratory illness, might I recommend getting some of those bathcakes yourself. Or even if you're not, the other products from Bathcake are very good and come in a variety of scents. I bought a heavenly "creamcake" in pineapple cilantro scent and have been very happily bathing with it for a couple of weeks. It's very fabulous for shaving. I've liked the other scents too, but the pineapple cilantro and the cold and flu items were standouts. The scents are not all as exotic as Lush scents, but they are very nice in their own right and the bathcakes specifically are as moisturizing as a butterball, no joke. And they're cheaper than Lush, look like adorable little cupcakes, and are handmade by a homeschooling mom, so I feel really good about buying from her.
Not that I'm giving up on Lush. I have room in my bathing addiction for more than one bath company. :-) This weekend in Dallas, I got to go to a Lush store for the first time. I've always ordered by mail order so I just have to guess at the scents I like, but I actually got to go in and smell everything and see what was nice, which at Lush's exorbitant prices, you don't want to get something you won't use. The very nice salesgirl gave me several large samples of scrubs and lotions and stuff that they don't send samples of through the mail. I scrubbed my face today with the Angels on Bare Skin and I am in love. My rough winter rosacea turned baby bottom soft. Jesse felt my face and said "Oh my GOSH! That's the softest skin ever!" I'll have to just bite the bullet and get some of that I guess, because my skin is kind of a situation.
So anyway, my birthday's coming up. If you need my address to send me Bathcakes or Lush, just let me know. I'll be happy to send it. ;-)
