Ok, here the deal with my lung situation. My Dr thinks that it's the fault of a medication I take for a unrelated chronic condition. In a small percentage of people it causes cough, bronchospasms and respiratory issues and apparently on top of my existing airway disorder it's causing an undue amount of problem. She's switching my medication and gave me a choice between an older drug of a different family that might have other bothersome side effects but would be cheap, and a second generation drug of the same family that shouldn't have the respiratory side effects but isn't in generic yet so I'd have to pay a higher co-pay. I elected to try the newer drug rather than just switch side effects, so she gave me several bottles of samples so I could see how it works before I have to lay out any cash for it.

She said it might take three weeks for the old drug to wear completely off so I may still have to put with this for a while longer, but I feel better knowing that it's (probably) temporary and that I am not infectious and can also go ahead and work out.
