Today I'm doing a little deep cleaning in the kitchen. I've cleaned out four drawers, taken everything out and started washing it and re-papered the drawers. It's still dusty around here and I was tired of having to rinse everything as I took it out of the drawers. I have things I need to do more, like laundry and picking up in the living room, but that's been bugging me so I did it first. I also washed a lot of dishes and cleaned off my stainless steel table and put a glass cutting board down on top of it.

My Mom asked me today if I wanted to go to law school. She said they'd help. I, in fact, WOULD like to go to law school but it will take too long to get a law degree and I'm not organized enough at this point to even apply and take the LSAT and get all my ducks in a row for that. I think I would like to get an RN though. It would take much less time, would leave me more marketable than I am with a psych degree, and the work would not actually be as bad as social work, for me anyway. Since I already have a bachelor's, I think I would mostly need to do nursing specific coursework and not have to take a lot of other courses in addition. So I discussed that with Mom and she seemed to agree that it would be a much better degree than the one I have. Nurses make quite a bit more than bachelor's level social workers, and there is a lot of flexibility in the hours and kinds of jobs one can get. My SIL is an RN and seems quite happy with it. So I guess I'll trot on down to the nearby colleges and see what I'd have to do to get in a program and how much it would cost.

Ok, back to my cleaning. I think I'm going to tackle the stove next. Or the hallway. I really need to take stuff from the hallway out to storage.

I am also thinking about nursing school. Its going to take about 3 years, even though I have a BSW. I think I like Rogers state the best right now, cause I wouldnt have to take colege Algebra. OU has an accelerated BSN program, you might check it out, has a lot of pre requisites and would proly about the same amount of time. Well I wont go into too many details right now... but,

I know I keep saying this, but we should get together ;-)

Lisa, that's great! My sister applied for a scholarship for LPN's to get a full ride to get an RN. She will find out tomorrow if she won or not.

NSU, Rose State, Rogers and TCC all have decently priced RN programs from what I understand. Good luck!
