The kids and I have overdecorated our Xmas tree wildly. Last year I just bought a cheap tree with some red and gold ornaments already on because $$ were short and it looked nice enough, but this year we decided to go get some things to add to it and we bought many festively garish and shiny ornaments, blue striped candy canes, two more strings of lights, and a lit-up silver/jeweled star for the top. As I don't have scads of extra space, it's not a great big tree, but we're certainly making the most of it. It's very cheerful. I like nice bright Xmas trees.
