Thanksgiving. Not my favorite holiday. Too much work, too much cleanup, too many relatives, no presents at all. Despite that, I have 16 lbs of turkey cooking in my oven and a fridge full of dressing, mashed potatoes, salad, vegetables and blueberry tarts, all of it homemade tonight.

Jack made the blueberry tarts, btw. He's getting better at cooking. He can make waffles all by himself from Bisquick, and can make spaghetti and sauce and can make rice. Supposing I have an utter breakdown and can no longer manage at all, I think he can keep himself and his brother fed on spaghetti and waffles and rice indefinitely. That's something to be thankful for, lol.
