New rescue dog seems very nice. She is sweet-tempered, doesn't seem to bark much at all even at other dogs, she totally ignored the cat, buries rawhide bones and dog biscuits immediately rather than eating them which is cute, and she isn't jumping on people. She and Jack are already good friends which is amazing because until recently he was very afraid of dogs. She has one blue eye and one brown, no tail and is about a 60 lb shepherd mix. As soon as we get done with some yard work, we're going to take her over to Petsmart and get her a longer leash so we can walk her around the neighborhood. She seemed to ride in the car just fine.

Oh, and Davey's Betta is still doing well. He comes up to the top of his tank when we open it so he can eat. At first he would hide under his plant when we opened the lid. And the hermit crabs are fine too. The cat is still a pain in the ass though, but Jack loves her so I guess she stays. :-)

I saw it with my own niece. She was terrified of dogs. I collected her from school a few months back and on our way to her home we passed this dog. She got all panicy and started hiding behind me but I told her she would be fine and the dog came over and let me rub him. I eventually persuaded Ava to rub him too and she did, and kept saying how fluffy his coat was! For weeks afterwards she went on about this dog and how soft he was and now she doesnt seem to panic as much.

good to hear Jack is so happy around her already. The two different colour eyes are lovely, I cant help but feeling drawn to her.

We've been working with him to be around small dogs and get closer to the neighbor dog through the fence, but he just really hit it off with this dog immediately. He spent all afternoon in the yard with her.
