lisamoeToday I picked up the kids from R at lunch, then took them to Target for a little impulse shopping plus a shirt for Davey since I didn't like what he was wearing but didn't want to go clear back home. I bought myself some bras and new shirts too. After that we went to the zoo. It was broiling hot when we got there, so I told them we couldn't stay long, but after about 30 minutes it started raining and got cooler so we walked around in that for a while. Then we headed over to the Air and Space Center and saw the sights there for about an hour and let Jack fill out a questionnaire about the exhibits for which they gave him some toy airplanes. On the way home we stopped at Sooner Surplus Sales to partake of the cheap weird items and drove through Billy Ray's for 99 cent barbeque sandwiches, yum.
After our return, Davey and I rode bikes for a few minutes. He's getting better at it. Then I dyed Jack's hair blond (!) and I got a much needed bath. I was SO gross after a day of sweating and being rained on. I love baths. Now Davey is asleep and I'm all dressed up to go out tonight as soon as my Mom comes over to watch the kids (bless her very much.) I'm hoping we go soon. As long as I keep moving I'm fine, but as you can see, we had a pretty busy day and I'm getting tired when I stop and think about it.
Maybe I'll scare up a camera soon and let everyone see the cuteness that is blond Jack. He's so tan already that he just looks like a little surfer boy. I really thought this color wasn't going to look good but it looks surprisingly nice. I'm sure there will be 8 year old girls swooning, lol.
