We accidentally went to a carnival tonight. We were actually just going to go to Bixby to buy produce, but on the way through Glenpool we saw a big ol' carnival and the kids begged to stop and I said ok, there must be a reason a carnival was put in our path tonight. We never did make it to Bixby, but we did have pretzels and lemonade and rides and cotton candy and the shark fishing game and a playground. I forgot all about work while we were there and the kids were just shiny with excitement. So yay for surprises. And Bixby will still be there tomorrow. :-)

We had a really good time. The kids have been mildly sniffly and cranky (probably just with allergies) so it was good to make everyone forget about being cranky for a while.
