Hey, I'm employed!

I'm waiting for my hair dye to take right now. I think it's going to be a little oranger than I intended, but hey, hair grows back.

I got confirmation on (one of) my state job(s) today and they said I could start anytime, so I picked Wednesday, since that's when I had planned to start the other one, which it turns out, won't be available for a few weeks anyway. And it gives me time to hear from the other interview, just in case I change my mind.

I've been tired of my mousy hair for weeks, but I was waiting til I had no more interviews before I colored it some stupid color. See, I have *some* impulse control.

One time, many years ago, I decided I wanted a purple stripe down the middle of my head. So off I went to the hair dresser. She stripped my hair as I requested and dyed it a bright, neon peuple. I loved it. Then after a couple of weeks and as it was a celophane color it began to wash out. Darke roots down the middle, bleached to white hair stripes next to that. Yes I looked like a human skunk. That is about the time I met Gator and we got married a few months later.
