I'm baking some brownies right now and asked Jack if he wanted some when they came out of the oven. He said he'd have one tomorrow for a snack because he didn't think he should eat sweets in the evening "in case it interferes with my sleep." He's from Bizarro world. Needless to say, Davey wants a brownie.

For dinner I made a kind of chicken/potato/corn chowder. It has chicken broth, bacon bits, rosemary, onion, celery and milk in addition to the aforementioned ingredients. It's really really good. I sprinkled shredded cheddar jack on it as I served it. I am so getting into making my own soup sans recipes. And if I make a big pot we can eat it for a couple or three days. Yay!

The wisdom of a child is far underrated:)

I wish I could remember to write down those little moments when my kids say things as similarily wise.
